In this interesting video they demonstrate a working orithopter model which flies around a school gym. A orithopter is an airplane that flats it's wings like a bird. It's hard to tell what is powering the flapping wings in this video. It could be a rubberband or a really small battery motor.

The remote controlled vehicles in this video look like racing boats but they can also drive around on land and fly. The video is pretty poor quality but it starts out with the boats on water and then has them fly up into the air. When they shoot the boat straight up it goes at least 50 feet into the air before coming back down and landing.

Here's a video of an remote control B-29 model carrying a remoted control X-1 rocket plane model. The B-29 takes off and�drops the rocket plane. The rocket plane ignites and shoots upwards before coming back and landing. The B-29 model does a few fly bys of the camera including one where it flies by upside down and does a backwards loop. Both planes land safely verses other videos where they fly a big model and then crash it by mistake.

Here's a funny car commercial which features the car protecting itself from a pigeon. The pigeon is sitting up on the tree eyeing the car and then flies down to land on the car. The car has other ideas however and using it's anti pigeon technology wacks the pigeon away from the car with it's hood. The pigeon is entirely CG or so claims the caption for the video. It's probably possible that the pigeon on the branch and flying towards the car is real and then when the bird gets hit it turns into a CG bird and sprawls on the ground. Apparently Ford sells these kinds of cars in Europe? Good luck with that.

Here's a Swiss guy named Yves Rossy who has developed a personal wing which he uses to fly around after jumping out of airplanes (see video one). Apparently sky surfing just wasn't cutting it so he built this. His latest version has four mini jet engines on it which allow him to go over 120 miles an hour (see video two). Apparently the wing has cost something like 150k British pounds to put togather. As you can see in the screen capture the wings fold up for when he is inside the plane and then open up when he jumps out. His end goal is to be able to take off and land which the jet wing as well instead of launching off a second plane already in the sky.

Here is a video featuring various objects being hit by a bullet and recorded in slow motion. First up is an apple which you've probably seen before or at least a photo of before. Next up is a banana and the bullet basically turns it from a solid to a liquid in milliseconds. Third is a playing card which rips right through the middle and then a cola can which ejects more liquid from the point of the bullet entry than the exit and flies in that direction.�Fifth it shows an egg getting hit and exploding outward and sixth a waterbottle getting hit in the bottom with the bullet exiting the cap. This is probably the ultimate mentos diet soda rocket as when the guy fires it off it flies over a two story house and lands on the other side. In an additional video the guy shows how he uses only two mentos to get this soda rocket off the ground. He chews one up and puts it in the cap and then sticks another one to it. Once he has the cap on he knocks them down into the soda and shakes it up. Once it takes it out and throws it down at the street it blasts off. I'd assume that the reason less mentos makes it go farther is that with to many mentos in there it is either too much thrust or the thrust is curtailed by to many bubbles.

This video features a 'Manta Ray' which appears to be a cross between waterskiing, jetskiing, and parasailing. There is an inflatable wing shaped 'Manta Ray' which is pulled by a waterskiing boat. The Manta Ray is shaped with 'wings' on either side of where the rider stands in it. The wings catch air and it lifts off from the water so it is flying like a kite behind the ski boat. The disclaimers on the video are pretty funny as they state something to the effect that the people in the video are professionals and riding the Manta Ray is tough. It goes on to say that you shouldn't fly it higher than you are willing to fall. All the crazy 'sports' come out of Australia don't they?

Now this could only happen in Japan. Apparently this dog was always interested in bikes when he was a puppy so the owner of the dog trained the dog to ride the bike. The video shows the dog sitting on the seat and peddling the bike around. The bike does have training wheels though. The owner walks behind the dog while it rides the bike. This one ranks up there with the dog that rides the skateboard and the trained circus flies that we have posted videos of previously. The Dalmation gets on and off of the bike all by himself.

In this car accident video they are in the middle of a pickup truck race when one of the outside trucks nudges the middle�truck which nudges the inside truck. The inside�truck�loses it and goes sliding off towards the inside of the track. The wind catchs the truck and it flies up like a giant wing and comes down on the top of the cab. It bounces the top of the cab off the track throwing sparks everywhere before the truck rights itself again and continues skidding along the pavement. It's pretty amazing how that original tap from the middle truck through the inside truck so off that it completely flipped over like that.
