Giant Water Geyser Shoots Up Out Of A Manhole Cover
In this video there is a two way highway with a manhole cover between the two lanes. It's raining and all of a sudden a huge geyser of water shoots up out of the manhole cover. One of the passing cars gets hit by the flying manhole cover. The geyser dies down and then near the end of the video it does it again.

Darth Vader Helmet Made Into Hot Air Balloon In This Photo
Here's a custom project where a guy made a hot air balloon shaped like Darth Vader's head. The article about it is somewhat light on details but it does say they sent a 3D object file to the hot air balloon manufacturers and then made custom modifications once they received the final balloon.

Guy Solo Plays A Piece By Mozart On A Violin In An Unconventional Way
Here's a pretty unconventional performance by a guy who's name I think is Gilles Apap. He's performing a piece by Mozart on a violin by himself. The unconventional part is that along with playing the violin he also whistles, sings, strums the violin like a ukulele, and plays a beat on the violin with his fingers. The best part is the look on the faces of the orchestra around him. They have varying looks between amazement, embarrassment, and astonishment as if they can't believe this guy is on the same stage as themselves at the same time that they are amazed at the sound he is producing.

Cave Man Learns The Consequences Of Not Using Fedex In This Commercial
Here is a commercial for Fedex featuring cave men and dinosaurs. The one cave man puts his package on a flying dinosaur and sends it off. The problem is a T-Rex eats the flying dinosaur and the message. So the cave man goes back to the cave man boss and tells him the package didn't back it. The boss asks him if he used Fedex (which he didn't) and then tells him he's fired. The cave man can't believe it because Fedex 'doesn't exist yet'. He stomps off out of the cave where he gets crushed by a giant dinosaur.

Largest Man Made Machine In The World Eats A Bulldozer
Here is a blog article which contains a stream of photos picturing one largest moveable man made machine in the world. Apparently it is an open mining machine in Germany. The article talks about how they had to move it from one mine area to another and it can only move in a straight line so they had to drive it over roads and train tracks. Once it got to the new mine it had a mishaps where it got a bulldozer caught in it's giant mining wheen (pictured).
Check out all of the photos of this giant man made machine for yourself after the jump.

14 Year Old In Nepal Is Only 20 Inchs Tall And Could Be Smallest Man In World
So this is one of the many photos of the 14 year old from Nepal who is only 20 inchs tall. Apparently he has to wait until he is 18 before he can be submitted to the Guinness Book of World Records for the smallest man in the world record. His name is Khagendra Thapa Magar and this photo has him standing next to his brother who is younger than he is. There are multiple other photos of this guy over on Yahoo as well. Again this just demonstrates that most myths are based on fact such as Tom Thumb who probably did exist and was similar to this guy.
Head over to Yahoo and view the full sized photo of this minature guy plus other photos of him.Read More >>

Blast From The Past Author Predicts The Next 50 Years From 1881 To 1931
Here is a book that I saw over on Google Books which was published in 1881. It is a futurist prediction of the time between 1881 and 1931. The author makes quite a few good preditions but also is a bit over optimistic is some of his other predictions. For example, some of his predictions which did not come to pass were that by 1931 racism would cease to exist, France and Germany would have peacefully resolved their differences over the Rhineland, and the failure of man to be able to fly. Some of the things which he predicted which did happen were the Panama Canal (he names three places where a canal would probably be built), the death of the telegraph and rise of the telephone, prohibition, the fall of Russia to communism around 1900 (though he predicted it would be peaceful), fax machines, and a bunch of other predictions. It's quite a few pages and I think I got to around 40 pages or so.
Head over and check out the book with predictions from 1881 for yourself.Read More >>

Classic Video Games Depictred In Stop Motion Video Of Household Objects
In this video someone out there on the interweb took the time to create stop motion homages to old video games like Pac-Man, Frogger, and Space Invaders. The items in the stop motion video are all from around the house like sponges, toys, cupcakes, salt shakers, leaves, bugs, rocks, etc. First up it features Centipede using cupcakes, muffins, birthday candles, and salt shakers. They did a pretty good job capturing the gameplay in all of them. Next up is Frogger which uses sponges, sequence, watchs, pretzels, and other such items to create a pretty accurate depiction of Frogger even down to the high score. Next up is Asteroids, Space Invaders, and finally Pac-Man where Pac-Man is played by a pizza.
