The guy in this video takes one for the team by having a water balloon thrown at his head. A video is then recorded at around 1000 frames per second of the water balloon hitting him and spraying everywhere.

Here is a prototype of a wave generator in this video. Basically it sits in the ocean and the up and down motions of the wave generate power through a flywheel. The guy shows the inside and then takes it to ocean and tests it in the video.

This video from Microsoft shows off a prototype device that projects a screen onto a tabletop and then allows you to interact with it via motion sensing. Probably the best example of it's use in the video is they have one side of a chess board (the side you are playing) as physical objects and the other side as virtual. So the person you are playing against is displayed via the projection over the chess board.

This strange video features two people racing around a race track without any race cars. The video is in stop motion with the people moving to create motion between frames. The people sit on the ground and pretend to drive cars around the track for a good time.

Here's a prototype screen interface from Microsoft which was demoed at the CEBIT 2006 conference. It's very similar to the interface from the movie Minority Report. I believe they are using a rear projector (though it's possible they are using an LCD). Basically there is a piece of glass with the display on it and then behind the glass is a motion sensor which tracks the user movements (I believe). There is either an LCD sandwiched in between two pieces of glass or a rear projector. I also think this is the interface that Robert Scoble�talks about in this interview.

Here is a slow motion video of various household objects being fired at high speed at various other household objects and shown here in slow motion. Some of the things they fire out of the cannon are beer cans, mustard jars,�sausage, whipped cream containers, and paintballs. They use a little white cup inside the cannon barrel to blow out whatever it is that they are shooting out of the cannon (you see the white cup in most of the shots). When they shoot the paintballs it works like a shotgun and peppers the target. They blast a TV, a radio, melons, flower�pots, flower arrangements, bottles of wine,�and all kinds of�other stuff�with beer cans.

In this video the two people are holding motion capture pens and using them to 'sketch' in the air. The Nintendo Wii controller could perform a similar task theoretically. They sketch up some furniture and then load the sketchs into a rapid protype printer and print up the furniture. The video itself is somewhat of a fakeout because the video has computer generated graphics where the people sketched but they themselves can't see what they are sketching in real time. It might help if they had a semitransparent display they could look through and actually see what they are sketching instead of only seeing it in their mind's eye. I'd think you'd have better like making furniture with one of those 3D lathe softwares and then rapid prototyping the object instead.

Here is a video featuring various objects being hit by a bullet and recorded in slow motion. First up is an apple which you've probably seen before or at least a photo of before. Next up is a banana and the bullet basically turns it from a solid to a liquid in milliseconds. Third is a playing card which rips right through the middle and then a cola can which ejects more liquid from the point of the bullet entry than the exit and flies in that direction.�Fifth it shows an egg getting hit and exploding outward and sixth a waterbottle getting hit in the bottom with the bullet exiting the cap. In this video someone out there on the interweb took the time to create stop motion homages to old video games like Pac-Man, Frogger, and Space Invaders. The items in the stop motion video are all from around the house like sponges, toys, cupcakes, salt shakers, leaves, bugs, rocks, etc. First up it features Centipede using cupcakes, muffins, birthday candles, and salt shakers. They did a pretty good job capturing the gameplay in all of them. Next up is Frogger which uses sponges, sequence, watchs, pretzels, and other such items to create a pretty accurate depiction of Frogger even down to the high score. Next up is Asteroids, Space Invaders, and finally Pac-Man where Pac-Man is played by a pizza.
