Couple people use a drill to drill a hole in the center of a working laptop LCD screen. As the LCD screen slowly loses integrity from the center outwards the edges of the screen continue to work. For the first 20-30 seconds or so the drill does nothing.

Here's a video of a prototype computer input output device which is designed like a paint brush. It has a built in video camera into the head of the brush which allows it to pick up "video textures" or still colors and textures. For example, they show the paint brush recording someone blinking their eye and then painting the eye blink texture on�a computer screen canvas. It's hard to tell if the screen canvas is touch sensitive or not (I think it is) as it shows someone smudging one of the images with their finger. However, it's possible that the paint brush device just records itself drawing. It picks up all kinds of textures like this fur print off this hand bag and works exactly like a paint brush after that. Watch the video for a better visual explanation.

Here is a video featuring various objects being hit by a bullet and recorded in slow motion. First up is an apple which you've probably seen before or at least a photo of before. Next up is a banana and the bullet basically turns it from a solid to a liquid in milliseconds. Third is a playing card which rips right through the middle and then a cola can which ejects more liquid from the point of the bullet entry than the exit and flies in that direction.�Fifth it shows an egg getting hit and exploding outward and sixth a waterbottle getting hit in the bottom with the bullet exiting the cap. The guy in this video is on a blocked off city street in New York or San Francisco. There are a bunch of bottles lined up in front of him on either side. He is on roller blades and has ski polls. There is what looks like a spoon attached to the outside of each of his skates. As he skates between the win bottles the handles of the spoons hit the wine bottles and play a song as the guy skates down the street. I can't tell if the bottles are open and half empty (or all empty) to achieve the different tones or not.

In this video a mansion house called Updown Court is featured. The mansion was built in England and according to the video took five years to complete. The grounds include 58 acres of parks, gardens, and woodland. The inside living space of the house is around 14,000 square feet with a good portion of the house completely covered in a rare marble. There are multiple swimming pool sized pools inside the house and a large hearted pool outside. Additionally it features it's own bowling alley and what looks like house stables (not to mention the staff and guest houses). This place really reminds me of Hearst Castle, the Vanderbilt mansion, Lyndhurst, and the Rockefeller in architecture, design, and uselessness.

So apparently there is a Flickr photo pool which contains a bunch of crazy looking photos of tesla coils in action. This photo is of a tesla coil out in someones driveway in the suburbs arcing into the person's front yard. There are a bunch of other crazy photos as well which are mostly taken inside with smaller tesla coils. Apparently the streamers from the coils can set things on fire and tesla coils create ozone which is probably why this one is placed outside. Lastly these things make a bunch of noise which I'm sure the neighbors in this photo were happy with.

Here's a video I found on Google Video of a Tornado rendered in Maya. The partical effects seem to be done pretty well and it looks like the tornado is ripping through an oil refinery or some such. There are all kinds of what look like sheet metal particles swirling around outside of the body of the tornado itself. And where the tornado moves through the refinery there are explosions and fire gouting up into the air. The video doesn't perticularly look very real but they did add a camera shake effect so it would seem like someone was holding the video camera.

So apparently this cartoonist guy is doing a video diary where he video tapes himself drawing cartoons and puts a voice over to it explaining the cartoon. The guy starts out by drawing each panel in the cartoon on a regular 8 1/2x11 piece of paper in pencil and ink marker. Then he scans each panel in and colors the sections in what I assume is photoshop. One interesteding thing I noticed the software doing was that it seemed to lock the color into the section where he first started filling the color into so he rarely has to go back and fix colors outside the lines. I don't know if it is actually do that but it sure seemed like it. He makes it look easy when it isn't.

In this car accident video they are in the middle of a pickup truck race when one of the outside trucks nudges the middle�truck which nudges the inside truck. The inside�truck�loses it and goes sliding off towards the inside of the track. The wind catchs the truck and it flies up like a giant wing and comes down on the top of the cab. It bounces the top of the cab off the track throwing sparks everywhere before the truck rights itself again and continues skidding along the pavement. It's pretty amazing how that original tap from the middle truck through the inside truck so off that it completely flipped over like that.
